To achieve optimum economic yields, crops must acquire sufficient nutrients and water from the soil via their root systems.

Assessing the nutrient status of soils and implementing a crop specific management plan are the first steps to growing a profitable crop. Soil analysis should be carried out at least every 5 years to satisfy crop assurance and government schemes such as SFI & SFS.
